Tequila Casamigos Añejo, which translates as "house of friends" took its name from the houses of Clooney and actress and former wife of Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber in Mexico. It is a small batch of ultra-premium tequila, made from blue Agave, gathered by hand.
The producers describe the new Tequila Añejo as a drink with complex aroma and soft caramel and vanilla notes. It is the perfect balance of sweetness (from Blue Agave plants) breakfast club with oak barrel and subtle notes of spice, with prolonged aftertaste in the mouth.
The three partners (Clooney, Gerber, Meldman) said: "It's very important to give the time and patience it takes to create the perfect Tequila Añejo. We are therefore pleased to announce that it is ready for bottling. To be sure bottling 1-2 batches and enjoy with our friends in recent weeks "
The Clooney added, "We are excited and proud to add the Añejo in our production. We are extremely proud of a drink that had rested so long in our barrels in Mexico. "
Each batch Añejo has been tested and approved in addition to a distiller master and by Clooney and Gerber, so it bears the signature of the two actors. It contains 40% alcohol and is so far available in USA and Canada at a price of 54.99 dollars.
