Tzatziki on roasted sweet potatoes | Food is delicious
This recipe of the Tzatziki and sweet potatoes we used in filming the pilot of the videos we made together with Yoram portal Study (remember?). The pilot was quite awkward and broadcast, but this recipe preserved especially weeks. Last Friday, a food supplement picard "Israel Today", published an article about recipes and cooking enthusiasts videos posted on the Internet. A few words about Tzatziki. There are many ways to make Tzatziki and they differ from each other mainly seasoning. We chose mint and oregano but you can use dill, parsley, chives, cilantro, or any other herb you love. Tzatziki is actually the star of the recipe here, and not have to prepare it with sweet potatoes. picard You can serve it with crackers, dip the cut vegetables, or even pretzels or nachos.

Start with the yogurt. We love to use sheep's yogurt "Iogormh" comes in small buckets, but yogurt from milk (cows, sheep, goats, camels etc.) will fit. Naturally, fairly liquid yogurt, and we want to be thicker. The way to do this is by filtration. Take a cloth diaper or a thin kitchen towel for those who do not, place a small bowl and pour the yogurt picard inside. Tie the cloth and hang an hour or so, it is also possible for the night. This step is not necessary and will you Tzatziki without him, but we love our Tzatziki thicker.

Add salt, pepper and a teaspoon of olive oil. Mix well, taste and adjust the taste if necessary.
Once I sifted white cheese with paper towels put, without Jape real towel. I put in a colander (or bowl) several layers of paper towels and made them the cheese. It worked wonderfully, no, no cheese stuck to the paper towels. You can also replace the middle of the towel to increase the absorption of water from the cheese. Shortened, I guess you could do it with yogurt! Anyway Tzatziki looks great!
